November 2013 -- Frederick Douglass Elementary
You just can't beat Frederick Douglass for enthusiasm and going the extra mile to promote learning and build school spirit! In November, the students and teachers of Fredrick Douglas:
- Teachers and students dressed up during the day and that night as their favorite book characters for Family Reading Night. The 2nd grade teachers even coordinated and went as characters from Charlotte's web! They hosted a book fair, provided treats in the cafeteria, and opened the class rooms for reading and crafts.
- To celebrate students who earned super behavior in the first marking period, they also hosted a Fall Bash that included hayrides, making popcorn skeleton hands, paper pumpkins, and turning a teacher into a mummy!
Congratulations to the teachers and students at Frederick Douglass Elementary who are working hard together to make everyone succeed!
